It's been a while

I moved a couple of years ago, sold most of my spare parts, and generally downsized as I lost my two car garage and workshop. I kinda got out of the habit of blogging and got bit addicted to Faceache.
My last blog was about the new engine which is now pushing 10k miles, the oil use has reduced significantly due to the addition of stem seals on both the inlet and exhaust valves, it goes really well

and is a testament to the builder Dave Harvey, engine guru of the triumph six cylinder gendre.
Pete Clarke who gave me MOE some years ago has disappeared, the last I heard he had cancer and when I phoned up, the man who answered the phone said he had collapsed and had been on the floor all night, no phone answered since and the number is disconnected I can only assume the worst.(picture above)
A slightly modified team MOE recently completed the famous Club Triumph 10 Countries run around Europe, which was France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands, 14 Alpine passes in just 4 days. We missed Jayson our team member who could not make it this year, but welcomed Liz Hudson who although not a driver fitted right in and was an essential part of the team, witty and never complained even when being thrown all over the back of the car by my "enthusiastic" driving.
This year saw MOE win the award for best modified car at the 2000/2.5 register week which was quite a surprise, she is modified from the front to the back, engine, transmission, seats, PAS, electrics and brakes.
